Rodeo

So this is Ryan's first ever trip to the Rodeo! I went to the Rodeo every year as a kid and it was always such a fun time and I want her to experience it all too! My grandpa LOVES the Rodeo and every year he reserves a bunch of seats so we can all take turns and watch it with him! This year he was excited to have Ryan join in on the fun! My mom bought her a cowgirl outfit complete with fringe boots, fringe vest and black riding pants! I still love going to the rodeo myself and this year I was extra excited because I got to wear my pink cowgirl boots! and I even think Mateo enjoyed it as well?! :) My favorite part of the rodeo when I was a kid was always the clowns...but now its watching the Mutton Bustin'! We also took Ryan to the parade on Saturday to watch Grandma walk with the Village Bank. None of this seemed to phase her at all...but that's ok because I enjoyed taking her and I'm sure she'll show some more interest as the years pass! Or atleast I hope so :)

a need to Vent...

I gotta vent this out.........so it's Monday morning. Monday's are always hectic for everyone right? I was having a particularly hectic Monday morning because Ryan had been crying ever since she woke up and just would not let me put her down for a second...so by the time I finally get her and I ready and all of our stuff packed into the car and I go to leave I notice a ticket on the front of my car. Now my garage door has been broken since Friday and so I've had to park in my driveway. Last night we had to park my car behind mateo's car since someone else was in our driveway when we got home...Now it's our fault we should have moved it after they left but My car was hovering over the sidewalk over the night. So I have a ticket on my car for obstructing the sidewalk. at 3:30 am on a sunday night. Now I live in a pretty much deserted subdivision and I'm pretty sure that nobody is going to be walking on my street at 3:30 am and that my car was totally in their way. The reason this pisses me off so bad is because I work hard for my money just like everyone else and money is tight these days and I just think that a one time warning would be much appreciated given the situation that in a subdivision not on a busy road with like 5 houses in the entire subdivision my car was blocking the sidewalk a tiny bit one time ever I have to pay. freak. Ok I'm done.

My friend Amanda is super crafty & creative and has her own etsy shop - Amanda Jo Homemade and she makes the cutest stuff!!! I asked her to make Ryan a birthday hat and an owl for her 1st Birthday Party and here is what she made!!! :) So cute!

More Summertime Fun!

So for the latter part of the summer we have had lots going on it feels like :) A few weeks back My Dad & Raquel got hitched down in Vegas :) (finally) they have only been engaged for like ever.....They got married at The Hilton! We all went down there for a few days and it was lots of fun having us all together! Fun Times for sure!!! but then again when isn't Vegas fun?

And then Last Weekend we went up to Brianhead and it was oh so nice up there! We had a free condo to stay in and my mom & Chris and also Aaron & Elaina came up with us too! Weather was great! Mountains and Trees and Fresh Air was such a nice break from this hot desert sun. While we were up there it was also The Brianhead Beer Festival and so we of course had to go check that out. Brittany & Deven came up to that for a little bit too! I hope to go up there in the summertime more often. It's gorgeous and the condo we stayed in was HUGE and Nice and literally right next to the Bunny Hill. We just cooked dinner and played games and watched movies and read...Aaron played his guitar! It was lots of fun!

I cannot believe that summer goes by soo fast....its sad. But it is WAY hot and even though I love it sometimes it is nice to see it go.

Ryan's 1st Birthday Party Invite!

This is Ryan's Party Invite that my dear friend - Bradi - helped me with (or actually did for me!!) I am soo excited for her 1st birthday and I've been thinking about it for like months now...I'm not in a hurry for her to be One but just the thought of having her first little party is so exciting! :) She is growing up so fast and I can't believe it hardly! We just had her One year old pics taken and I cannot wait to see how those turned out! I'll be posting more soon with those and her birthday pics!!! not too much longer....

my 29th birthday!

I just had my 1st 29th birthday ;) and I honestly cannot believe that I am that old. I know that 29 is not old but when I was younger I sure thought that it sounded old...I definitely feel like I'm 23 -26 age range and maybe I always will feel that way in my mind......but everyone around me seems to be growing up like crazy? weird how that works...
Anyways, I always like to make a big deal out of anyone's birthday! I think that everyone deserves one day out of the year just for them to be spoiled and celebrated and all of that fun stuff - no matter how old ya get :) I had to work on my birthday and so I didn't really get to do anything too exciting on the actual day! But my cousin took us out to Sand Hollow for the day on Saturday to celebrate and that is always a good time in my book! and also a group of us went out to dinner at Gun Barrel! I LOVE their fried green tomatoes so very much! Spending time with my family & friends is the best and I'm thankful for everyone in my life :)

Powell Trip 2011

So we just got back from our annual Powell trip! I was so very excited to go out this year and not be 7 mos. pregnant......and it was Oh so Nice! We decided to not take little Miss Ryan this year and it was really nice to have a break but way too long to be gone from my little babies. I missed her terribly. so for now 2 nights is officially too long to be gone from her. I even went out a day later so as to not make it 3 nights and it still was just too long. But she had fun with Grandma Leslie and was very happy to see us when we came back! The Lake was pretty crowded and pretty hot out! but it was oh so gorgeous out there! I always forget how much I love it out there until I find myself there again. This year went pretty well considering something usually goes wrong just about everytime we go out to Powell! My brother finally came out this year and he brought his girlfriend Stephanie - who was a first timer - and by the end of the trip I think she got what all of the hype was about ;) It was also mine & Mateo's 4 year anniversary while we were out there and definitely not the most romantic day (with all the sand, bugs and spiders...) but a great day nonetheless! I love him and can't believe it's already been 4 years! This Friday we are going to celebrate with dinner at Anasazi Steakhouse and The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn :)

Summer So Far...

So I'm clearly not very good at keeping this blog updated anymore...I find it hard to find time to do much of anything when you have a 10 month old little monkey who likes to climb on everything :) We have not done anything too exciting yet this summer but it's been fun! We love summertime!!! Here are a few pics of our summer so far...

Ryan in the Spring!

Ryan's First Tooth

Finally her first tooth has arrived :) I'm relieved...she has been "teething" for like months now with nothing to show for it and Grandma spotted her first tooth on Sunday Night! My baby girl is growing up :) so bittersweet

Our New House

So we just bought a new house in Overlook in Green Valley :) It's a brand new house - nobody has ever lived in it :) its sooo much nicer and newer and bigger than our little townhome. Mateo says we were having a fisher price house before and now we are graduating up :) We have been moving for the past week and are just about there...I hope to never have to move again for a looooong time!!!

Ryan's 6 month Check Up

Ryan just turned 6 months old!!! I just can't believe how fast it goes by :) I took her in for her 6 month check up yesterday and all is well with her. She weighs about 17.8 lbs and is 85th percentile for her weight and she is 97th percentile for her height! I kinda figured she was tall for her age and I guessed right! Even though both me and Mateo aren't tall at all we both have tall family members...so it'll be interesting to see how that all plays out.
Its now time to start feeding her the solid foods...She hasn't tried much normal food yet but she has had a taste of chocolate from her dad and she seemed to really like that (uh-oh) and Aunt Keilee likes to give her licorice to lick on...
Wondering if I should make my own baby food or what to do?? I'm interested to see what she is gonna like

What's New...

Sorry I haven't posted anything in like forever......We've just been working away and taking care of lil' baby Ryan...she is growing soooo fast I just can't even believe it! She is 5 1/2 months old already :) where did the time go. Here is the newest picture of her! I'll try to be better about posting this year! We are in the process of buying a new home out in Green Valley and are so excited to have a nice & new home! We have outgrown this boat for sure...
